Diep 9 – Franco Cesarini – Componist

For the ninth episode I sat down with Franco Cesarini, the well known Swiss composer and conductor. His body of repertoire consists mainly out of compositions and transcriptions for wind- and brass band. We discuss the wind band culture of Switzerland and Italy, good teaching practices (I mentioned Lily Boulanger, but it should off course be Nadia), orchestration principles and his newly composed third symphony.
