Den Ilp – A new work has been commissioned by Fanfare Den Ilp for the World Music Contest in Kerkrade. The newly written composition will be part of a programme consisting out of 3 works, including the obligatory Paradise Cave by Jan de Haan.

The composition will be focused on the topic of cultural assimilation and the many forms in which it is manifested.

Fanfare Den Ilp presents itself in the 1st division, which categorises them on the higher range of the musical spectrum in terms of difficulty. Together with conductor Marcel Visser and the WMC committee, this collaboration will prove to be an exciting project to look forward to.
